Amy Tangerine when she came to Australia to promote her Sketchbook line which has recently popped up in our Spotlight stores. This alone is major news because we are a bit behind the rest of the world when it comes to the latest and greatest in scrapping and up until recently the only line Spotlight carried was Kaisercraft which I am not a huge fan of and we have no Micheal's or Archivers to speak off.
Anyways back to Amy's visit, I went to meet her at Spotlight Narre Warren and it was a fabulous morning where I got to meet other scrappers and project life fans and we did a make and take card which is super cute, I got Amy to sign it so I can pop it in my PL album.
Amy was just like she is online - cool, sweet and fun. It really was a wonderful morning and I was lucky enough to win a prize pack of the Sketchbook line which I couldn't wait to get stuck into so it was only fitting that I used it to scrap my photo of Amy and me.
I also attempted to use embroidary floss for the first time and realise now that anyone who can do that is highly skilled because it is hard! I had a failed attempt first and trashed the page. Fopr this page I actually printed out the work I wanted to sew, placed it on to the layout where I wanted it and then poked the holes in with my piercing tool. Here is the finished LO.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend,

Love your layout! I am so envious that you got to meet Amy! Lucky you winning such a great prize!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great and fun page. Just love the way you've teamed up the brights with the black&white chevron. Looks amazing! And nice work on the stitching too..... that's why I never hand-stitch... it's too hard!! :-)
