Hello, hope you are all having a fun weekend. I would like to say I have had plenty of time to spend at my scrap table but alas I have been busy working on the first issue of Life.Paper.Scrapbook. and although it is a lot of fun I still would like to get amongst the paper and glue.
Anyways I am so excited to be a part of the reader reveal for Creative Scrappers sketch #250 but it is also a little bitter sweet because this will be the last sketch challenge for a while. Kristine has been providing us all with inspiration for almost 5 years so she deserves a break but do not despair if you love sketches as much as I do you can pre-order a copy of her new book here which will have 125 new sketches and layouts from 55 international designers - now that is a LOT of inspiration.
Anyway onto sketch #250 and what I came up with...
I switched it around a bit but was actually inspired by the circle shapes representing embellishments, it made me think of bubbles and then my mind went to froth in the waves so I grabbed a mask I had and spritzed my card with white Mr. Huey and then I got out the old needle and thread (I seem to be doing this more and more often recently)
I didn't have enough of any alpha's to make a title I liked so I ended up using a pun (on peering) and mixing up the thickers a bit. I used woodgrain to tie in with the pier in the photo.
So please head on over to Creative Scrappers and help celebrate then end of an era and the release of a fabulous new book by playing along - the prize? A copy of the new sketchbook :)
Thanks for dropping by
