Global Design Project #258 | Sketch Challenge

Hello,

I am back today with another card for Global Design Project #258 | Sketch Challenge.

This week it is a sketch challenge. Here is the sketch:

For this card I have used the Peace and Joy Bundle (full list of supplies are listed at the end of the blog):

And here is how I made the card:

  • Real Red Card Base (I used A4 cut in half and folded) and one piece cut to 3 1/4" x 5" (plus the remaining offcuts)
  • 2 pieces of Heartwarming Hugs patterned paper cut to 3 1/4" x 5 1/2" and 3 3/8" x 4 7/8"
  • Whisper White Card 3 pieces of 1" x 1.5"
  1. Layer the patterned paper and card onto the base. Adhere the smaller piece to the red card and layer the ribbon horizontally across the centre and then adhere to the card base.
  2. Cut letters from red card
  3. Emboss the white cardstock with the "dotty" embossing folder and then mount onto some red card (I did not measure this, I just cut slightly larger than the white). Then adhere the letters using multi purpose glue.
  4. Adhere the squares to the card base
  5. Stamp the sentiment in versamark ink and apply embossing powder then heat set. Use the punch to cut banner ends. Adhere to card.
  6. Stamp holly leaves in green ink and holly berries in red, fussy cut the leaves out and glue to the bottom left hand of the J and to right of the Y.

TIP: I use a rectangle die to cut the middle out of the patterned paper so I have extra to use on another project, no point wasting it by covering it up!

The Global Design Project sketch challenge is open until Monday, head over HERE to play along.

Thanks so much for stopping by,
