Global Design Project #273 | Colour Challenge

Hello!

Today I am sharing a card I made for the Global Design Project Colour Challenge #273, which is a colour challenge.

The colours for this challenge are:
I made a letterpress style background with the new Painted Textured embossing folder. To do this I took my night of navy ink pad and smeared it all over the front side. I then ran it through my Stampin' Cut and Emboss machine, I really love the effect it gave (its a bit hard to see in the photos but looks amazing in person).  A full list of all the supplies I have used is at the bottom of this post.

Apart from the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder all the items are from the new January to June Mini Catalogue. If you would like one and are in Australia (and don't have a demo) please contact me.

Thanks so much for stopping by today,

TGIF Challenges | Colour Challenge #TGIFC297

Hi Everyone!

Today I am playing along with the new challenge from TGIF Challenges which is a colour challenge.

I usually use lots of colour even when I do a monochrome card so using just black and white was actually a bit of a refreshing change, I love the strong graphic look.

For this one I am using my beloved Dragonfly Garden Bundle as well as the the Corner Bouquet set which is a Sale-a-Bration exclusive set.

This one came together pretty quickly I just cut a piece of Basic Black using the stitched rectangle and then the largest Sweetly Stitched die in Whisper White.

I coloured the dragonfly with grey copic markers just to give it a little bit of depth and I finished with some twine from my stash.

I will definitely be doing more of black and white cards, I love how striking it looks! (See bottom of this post to see full list of supplies used).

The Corner Bouquet is one of several set and pretty papers that you can get for FREE (yes, free!) during the Sale-a-Bration period. Every AU$90 you spend on any product (from the annual or mini catalogue) you can earn a free item. You can see the goodies in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue HERE

If you are in Australia (and you don't have a demonstration) and would like a copy of the new January to June mini catalogue please use the contact me form and send me your address.

Dragonfly Garden Bundle Card and Video

 Happy new year everyone!

It's January which means its time for the new mini catalogue and everybody's favourite.... Sale-a-Bration!

So today I have created a card using a lovely new set called Dragonfly Garden. The stamp set is available individually or you can buy it in a bundle with a coordinating punch. I have coordinated it with the Dandy Garden 6x6inch paper. (See below for a full list of products used and a video).

I have made my very first Stampin' Up! Youtube video on how this card came together which you can view below.

I used Stampin Blend markers to colour the images, the flower image is very fine so you need to use a light hand when colouring,

For the sentiment on this one I have used Stazon ink on vellum, the shape of the stamp for the sentiment is a bit of a funny shape so I used my Stamparatus to get the placement right.

You can watch the video of how this came together HERE

Paper and Card measurements:

• Thick Whisper White Cardbase - A6 (Half A4 sheet, scored at 10.5cm)
