Did someone say Mouse?

I hope you have all recovered from the holiday break. I personally never want to eat again, I am still full from Christmas Lunch. We had a lovely day catching up with family.

And the best part about a break? Having time to sit and scrap. I found a really great sketch over at the Paper Stories Blog and you all know I cannot resist a good sketch.

I have had this photo of my parents cat Q looking fixedly at a little toy mouse for quite a while but hadn't got round to making a layout.

I have used a bit of everything on this layout but am really happy with how it turned out.

I got some little Halloween tags in the Elle's Studio grab bag I bought on Black Friday. We don't really have Halloween out here but I thought they were perfect for this layout. I used to just cast aside things I didn't think I would use but now I try to re purpose them by cutting them up, using them as layers or cover bits with washi.

I hope you found some time to do some scrapping too.
Thanks for stopping by,

Long time no see...

I am sure you are all rushing around busy for Christmas and here has been no different. I have been busy shopping, baking and all the other things that go with the festive season.

I was hoping to share some more of my DD with you all but I just haven't had a chance to photograph it properly so I am just posting some Instagram photos to give you a peek.

I am so glad I used an album with page protectors this year, I think that has helped me a lot to keep organised. Also I am absolutely LOVING the vellum numbers from the Crate Paper Sleigh Ride Collection.

As I am one to leave things to the last minute I have decided to have a go at "auditioning" for the ScrapFriends Design Team I have never tried out for a DT before but I have high hopes for myself for the New Year so I thought I may as well give it a go :)

Hope you all have a wonderful, happy and safe holidays and that all your Christmas wishes come true,

Love from Harry &

December Daily - Title Page

Like I said in my last post I am already behind in my December Daily. The problem started with the album cover. I ordered the Acorn Avenue Wood Veneer by Crate Paper because they had a cute little deer in them but they haven't arrived yet. So because the cover wasn't done I kept putting it off. Well they still aren't here so I have to start or I will be doing it in November next year like last years.

So even though I am off to a slow start I do have all my photo's organised and edited so that is a start and I completed the cover page. I am using a Simple Stories 6x8 album which is a good size for me to work with because it's not too small.

I used silver POW paper and cut the frame and numbers with my silhouette. The main paper I am using is Christmas Cheer by Lily Bee but I will be mixing others in and of course the trees are Studio Calico.

If you are doing a December daily please feel free to leave a link in the comments so I can come over and check it out.

Thanks for stopping by,

A Christmas Tradition

Happy December! Are you all doing a december daily? I am but being me of course I haven't started - I know, I'm hopeless. But I have been taking my pictures so I might start on it tonight.

To get myself in the christmas spirit I decided to do a layout about my favourite decoration. I was given this cute little guy when I was a child and every year I always hang him at the front of the tree.

I used some lovely Elle's Studio cut outs from the Be Merry Collection.

And as you can see I have been at the stitching and twine again. I also added some sequins to tie in with the baubles in the picture.

The washi is from Freckled Fawn. See how cute my little guy is!

So to celebrate the start of December how about a freebie? I have made up a little calendar to go into my december daily.

If you would like to have one you can grab it here. The file includes a PDF of a 4x6 card and also a .jpg file. Hope you like them.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend,
