Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - New

Today I made a card for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge which is "Something New"  (and I also used it for a challenge at Splitcoast Stampers).

I just got a whole slew of new goodies from SSS and have been stamping my heart out. Here is my card:
The little penguin is from Mama Elephant and I have used the Simon Says Stamp Sending and Wishing stamp, such a fabulous set and I know I will use it lots.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you have a nice weekend.

CASology 128

I have been super busy the last week with work and haven't had time to work on any projects but I managed to grab a bit of time today so I thought I would play along with CASology's Week 128 Challenge:

I decided to interpret the clue as going on a date and I have my brand new Mama Elephant Purrfect Pair stamps which were.... well purrfect!
I don't know what colour the base card is, it is a piece of Stampin Up CS that I have been hoarding from before they changed the colour groups (which is about 4 years now I think lol). I just used my swiss dots embossing folder to give some texture to the front and of course coloured my kitties with my Copic Markers.

Thanks so much for stopping by,

New Card Blog & Mojo Monday: 378

Hello there and welcome to my card blog. As you can see this is not my first post on this blog, it was originally my regular blog before I moved to my Wordpress site but my scrapbooking commitments and my desire to return to making cards, stamping and challenges were not going to work in the same place so I have decided to just have a dedicated space for my cards.

One of my favourite challenges to play along with back when I first started making cards (forever ago) was Mojo Monday and so when I wanted some inspiration for some new cards it was the first place I stopped. This week's challenge 378 is tall and skinny:
My January Simon Says Stamp kit arrived yesterday so I was straight into that.
My card was tall and skinny but then I had a huge ink disaster and had to cut the bottom off the card so now it is just normal size but as you can see it stays very close to the original sketch.

Once I had made that I got so excited about the card kit I had to make another one, this time a shaker card:
It is a bit hard to see in the picture but the background of the shaker area is white glitter cardstock which adds such a wonderful touch with the sequins and seed beads. I am going to enter this one into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.

Not really sure what I will do with either of these cards though as I am in the Southern hemisphere and we are in the middle of summer, but I just loved the colours of the kit and the stamps so I had to play with them

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful New Year full of sparkle and joy,
