Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge - Punches

It's time for another Fabulous Friday Challenge over at Frosted Designs. This week the theme is punches. I don't have a lot of punches in my stash a couple of border ones which I can't get to work for me and circle punches. After thinking about it a bit I thought maybe there are quite a few people out there who only have circle or square punches, after all punches are a bit pricey and with all the die cut options out there you can usually get by with just that. So I decided to break out the circle punches and make the most of it.

I used three different size punches and I wanted to give it a bit more dimension. I thought about pop dots but decided instead to stitch around each one. (which was time consuming LOL)
I used the new Studio Calico Atlantic Collection for this layout - love the cork and the dark wood veneer so much.
The Frosted Designs Team did an amazing job with this challenge so make sure you head on over for some punchy inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by,

LPS May Colour Challenge

It's time for another colour challenge over at Life.Paper.Scrapbook. and this one is very sweet hehe

I love macaroons these colours :) and I recently ordered some of the Studio Calico Atlantic collection which fitted perfectly. This is a funny picture that I snapped of Winston when I was home last week, he is always goofing around especially when there is a camera.

I am totally in love with these Freckled Fawn Lovely Bits, I wanted to cover the whole page in them.

This months sponsor is the Scrapbook Store who are offering a $20.00 gift voucher to spend in store.
I hope you will come over and play along.

And I thought I would leave you today of the Washi Monster hard at work!
No washi tape was harmed in the taking of this picture (it was a roll I didn't really like anyway)

Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge

It seems like it was only a few days ago I posted my last Frosted Designs challenge, but I have been super busy and time has flown by so now it is time for another one and this one is a lot of fun.

This week your challenge is to do a project that is black and white and add one colour.

I had the perfect photo for this challenge, it is a picture of my darling late Mr.Raji's paws when he was playing with a stick, a game he loved to play under our old oak tree. The grass was so vivid in the picture that green was the perfect colour to add.

As you can see I kept this pretty clean and simple and used up some green scrap paper I had laying around (the one under the photo is from when I was a Stampin' Up demonstrator and that was easily five years ago, so it has been laying around for a looooooooong time LOL).

I love the little stick pins from Little Yellow Bicycle, they are one of my new favourite things and of course it wouldn't be complete without some wood veneer - this little heart is from Freckled Fawn.

This week our sponsor is Spiegal Mom's Scrap Shop and she is giving one lucky winner 10 Yards of May Arts burlap string (red and Natural) 2 wooden veneers and 2 Washi tapes of your choice!

So head on over to the Frosted Designs Blog for lots of design team inspiration and to play along.

Have a great Sunday,

Project Life - Week 18

Today I am sharing my most recent PL spread. I am bad at Project Life, I never seem to find the time to do it (but I have all the stuff LOL). I think it is because I am very traditional scrapbook focused because that is what I enjoy the most but when I look back at my PL album from last year (it only went for six months) I really enjoy seeing what I was doing on a particular week. I also use my album to keep photos that I like but I do not deem scrap worthy. Anyway I managed to get week 18 finished and thought I would share it.

For this week I used bits from several Studio Calico Project Life Kits, a couple of Seafoam Core Kit cards, the glasses card is from my shop and just some co-ordinating scraps of paper.

My cat and things related to him make a regular appearance in my album.

And the highlight of week 18 was meeting up with the lovely Amy Tangerine again for an interview for the magazine.

Speaking of Life.Paper.Scrapbook. we are having a whole week of PL inspiration wrapping up today and to celebrate we are having a blog hop and also there is a chance to win a mini kit and album.

I am also offering 50% off all printables in my shop when you use the code PLW50OFF

Right Now...

I am still catching up on some of the NSD challenges. This one was inspired by a prompt at the Creative Crop at Big Picture Classes. The prompt was to write "I" sentences such as I like to....
I can .... so I decided to take some of these prompts and make a right now page using the colours for the 2Ps colour challenge.

These are not colours I would usually try but I am really pleased the way it came out. I often think with bold colours palettes it can be best to make the most of your white space and just add touches of the strong colours.

NSD Layouts

So as you all know Saturday was National Scrapbook Day and of course I got bugger all done, but I did manage to get a couple of layouts done for challenges yesterday (which was OK because it was still saturday in the US).

The first one I had been playing with since friday night (when I am busy I have everything out on my desk and I arrange things occasionally until I am happy with what I have - not a very good method but it works). I entered it in a couple of Shimelle's challenges - using glitter and using embellishments in a straight line and also one over at 2Ps. I also used an older sketch here from the Sketchabilities blog.

The next one was for a Scraplift Yourself challenge (again at Shimelle and 2Ps) and I decided to put a different spin on my recent Sqrrrl! layout.

I hope you all had a productive NSD. Thanks for stopping by!

Life.Paper.Scrapbook May Sketch Challenge

I cannot believe it is May already! I will be having a birthday in less than two weeks but I don't want to think too much about that because I think I am having a mid life crisis LOL. I know I am getting old because I have to get glasses and guess what day they arrive?!

Anyway time for another Life.Paper.Scrapbook sketch challenge. I really liked this, it is a great one if you are looking to do a really quick layout or you can flip it around if you want to mix it up.

I pretty much left the sketch as it was, just moving the title across because it was a long one and I honestly believe my title too :)

The prize this month is from Rukristin Papercrafts and it is awesome! A place in a new self paced mini album workshop:

"Make your own mini-book in minutes with an amazingly versatile accordion album. Learn this technique once and use it to make dozens of unique mini-albums. With over 80 pages of inspiration from 10 different contributors there is an style for everyone and a theme for every occasion."

So pop on over to see all the amazing DT inspiration and play along and don't forget that the colour challenge is still running and you can combine them for two chances to win!

Color Me Scrappy #37

Time for another Color Me Scrappy challenge! And how adorable is this picture? It totally made me fall in love with a colour scheme I otherwise would have had to think a bit about.

And the twist this week is a sketch :)

Here is what I came up with. Of course because of the colour image I had to do a kitty page and this little girl is a cat I had befriended in Bali that lived at the hotel where we always stay. On my most recent trip a friend on the staff told me she had died and which was sad but I was prepared because little Balinese cats have pretty hard lives.

Lots of Amy Tangerine on this page - I am totally in love with those bamboo pattern alphas - and of course a little SC kitty veneer to finish it off.

The sponsor for may is Love Peace Scrapbooking and the prize is a great little kit of goodies so head on over to the blog for all the info, more DT inspiration and to play along.
